Members lead a hike in Little Horn for State and Federal Officials Soon after the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Pulled the license application for the proposed project.

Sheridan Area Resource Council (SARC) was started in 1991. We led a 10 year fight to protect the pristine Little Horn and Dry Fork area from a proposed storage project. The project was not built and the application was terminated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. In recent years SARC has been working on getting more recycling in Sheridan, securing instream flow the water rights for the Little Bighorn River. Other topics of interest to the members are renewable energy, Planning & zoning and water quality.
